Drewstre
Hello, FusionPro Creator 13.1.18 in Acrobat 24.002.20687 on a Monterey M1 iMac I'm seeing some rather nasty graphical glitches in FusionPro text frames depending on the zoom level of the document in Acrobat. When I'm at 100%, everything looks fine. But when I zoom in to anything above about 112%, the text disappears from the text frame and appears elsewhere on the page. I've attached some screenshots that hopefully show the issue... the file 100 pct.pdf shows my test document at 100% zoom. 100 pct.pdf I'm trying to precisely place the blue text over the static gray text behind it; once positioned, the blue text will be replaced with variables, changed to black, and the gray text beneath it removed. (Not to mention it's not rendering in the correct font, but I think that's another issue). But as I zoom in, the blue text goes AWOL and no longer shows in the text frames, as shown in 125 pct.pdf and 150 pct.pdf. 125 pct.pdf 150 pct.pdf It's making it basically impossible to place the text frame exactly where I need it. Is anyone else seeing these issues? Thanks, Drewstre
MartyrSyx
To fix a similar issue after i started using 13.1.8, I typed in 0 in the horizontal (X) value. Then I was able to move/resize it in any manner as normal and the problem has not come back to the template (yet). Dan Korn
Sorry for the trouble. This is an issue with later versions of Acrobat and how it handles drawing by plug-ins on Mac. We've been talking to Adobe; they say they are working on a fix for a patch release of Acrobat in June. I don't yet know whether we will also need to make changes to our plug-in to work with whatever change they're making in Acrobat. There is no known workaround to avoid this issue completely. That said, it can be avoided by either lowering the zoom factor or making the Acrobat document window larger. If you keep enough of the active page(s) within the Acrobat window, Preview will work fine. The other thing you can do is just turn Preview off and move the frames. Note that this doesn't affect composition, just the Preview in Acrobat on Mac. Sorry again for the trouble. I'll post back if there are any updates from Adobe.
Drewstre
Ugh, that's unfortunate. Nice job, Adobe! 🙄 Thanks Dan. Is there a known-good earlier version of Acrobat that I might be able to revert to that works, until the fix comes out? MartyrSyx, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that didn't work for me on this project... I'll try it on a couple others.
