No. But you can kind of fake a shadow effect by duplicating the text frame and offsetting it; then you can make it whatever color you want. Dan, do you know if transparency, outline stroke and drop shadow(similar to this request) is being talked about for future releases or is going to be incorporated soon? Thanks for your support Dan! Yes, outline (stroke) and custom drop-shadow color are both on planning lists for upcoming releases. I can't really give you any dates, though. As for transparency for variable text, that's an issue on our general list, but I don't think it's been put on a list for any planned release.
