This includes both Mac and Windows releases of FusionPro Desktop as well as the Windows-based FusionPro Direct and FusionPro Server. New Features The FusionPro VDP 7.0 release includes a balance of new features and bug fixes. The new features are: Full integration with FusionPro Expression - All FusionPro 7.0 versions come bundled with FusionPro Expression and can generate personalized images out of the box on both Windows and Mac. (Images will be watermarked unless a fully licensed version of FP Expression is installed on the same machine.)QR Barcode generation, through JavaScript or a built-in GUI template rule.True PPD-based subset finishing for PostScript-based output. Set options for folding, stapling, tray selection and more on a per-page or per-job level.New JavaScript Table object for easier table generation - no manual tagging required.Proportional Fill for variable graphics - scale the image proportionally so that the frame is always full. An updated version of the Frodo Travel tutorial demonstrating the new FusionPro Expression integration and the JavaScript table object is included with all FusionPro 7 installations. Upgrades and New Licenses FusionPro customers can download the 7.0 release from the FusionPro VDP Software Download page. New licenses of FusionPro Desktop 7.0 are available for $799 per license. Upgrade and full new versions can be purchased from the FusionPro Desktop Store. Please note that pricing and upgrade eligibility may change at any time. FusionPro Desktop 7.0 upgrades are currently available for all FusionPro Desktop 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x customers at a discounted upgrade price of $499 per license. (After July 31, only FusionPro 5.0 and up will be eligible for upgrades.) FusionPro Desktop purchases (new or upgraded) within the past 30 days will get a $299 coupon that can be used in the store toward a 7.0 upgrade either with or without FusionPro Expression. Through July 31, 2010, we are running two special promotional bundles: a new FusionPro Desktop 7.0 with FusionPro Expression bundle for $1,398 ($200 off) and an upgrade FusionPro Desktop 7.0 with FusionPro Expression bundle for $1,098 ($200 off). FusionPro Direct/Server and MarcomCentral customers who are active on their maintenance are entitled to an upgrade of their FusionPro VDP software. FusionPro Direct/Server customers can obtain their upgrades by contacting the FusionPro VDP Support team while MarcomCentral customers can contact their CPM to inquire about the upgrade. MarcomCentral Support of FusionPro Desktop 7.0 Templates Printable has completed testing of the FusionPro v7.0 template format and it is currently compatible with MarcomCentral. Dan Korn Posted July 8, 2010 Author Share Posted July 8, 2010 There is an updated 7.0P1c version with a couple of PPD parsing fixes for the new Subset Finishing feature, and fixes for the FP Expression integration, especially on Mac.
