  1. You are correct . I could have swore there was a specific CC version that I used a trial version of.
  2. In the release notes under Mac OSX Yosemite, it talks about support for Mavericks. So does FusionPro Creator support up to Mavericks or Yosemite?
  3. Can you run Acrobat CC with FusionPro Creator 9.3? Or is InDesign the only support provided for the Creative Cloud programs?
  4. Dan, We aren't using FusionPro server 9.2. We have version 9.0. The document I referenced is in the C:FusionPro\Manuals folder when you install the program on the server. A lot of problems we deal with come directly from the lack of documentation and out of date manuals you provide to customers. This whole post could have been avoided if you had complete and up to date information. Also, make the manuals available to customers from your web site or in the user forum so we don't have to bother Alex to get them. The Web Service API information was not included with our serial number for FusionPro Server API by the way.
  5. Page 29 of the FusionPro VDP Producer Manual: "The Web Server files, installed along with the batch engine (FusionPro Producer API) and the documentation, are found under the installation folder at ..\Tutorials\WebServer." That folder does not exist in the FusionPro program on the server.
  6. I'm opening a command window, and dragging the data, DIF, CFG, and output files to the command window and letting it compose. There is no folder containing documentation for the Web Service on the installed software that is mentioned in the Server documentation. ..\Tutorials\WebService is nowhere in the software folder for FusionPro Server API. Can I obtain this documentation somewhere else?
  7. Dan, I'm Cookin' Up a Batch! FusionPro Producer API Where is this magical FusionPro Server Manager App? Are you referring to the Direct Monitor? Because that does not show running jobs that run through a command prompt window.
  8. Is there a way to stop a composition in FusionPro Server API through the Batch mode command window? I don't see anything in the manuals mentioning a way to stop a composition like you can through the Direct Monitor.
  9. Dan, It happens with all templates/files. I have since reinstalled twice and the same problem exists. It worked right after the first reinstall but the palette is still appearing blank even though there are swatches there.
  10. Dan, We are running FusionPro 9.0 already, I stated this on the thread with the operating system we are using. Do your jobs that you run with hundreds of thousands of records have over 200 data fields per record and are filled with images? None of the explanations Support is giving us explain why my MacBook pro would all the sudden stop composing 50,000 records with a data file that is 215 MB. It worked fine for 8 months and stopped working 3 weeks ago. We can't upgrade the operating system because Mavericks isn't supported.
  11. I've done that before. They tell me it's fine but they didn't bother to test the files with any of the text or image files.
  12. The error is "Cannot get Submit Job." We have 32 GB of RAM on our server also.
  13. There is no log file. The job failed on Submit. It didn't create a folder in the Submitted Directory and I searched in the folder where the template PDF is located.
  14. step, It fails before the job even queues. It started about 3 weeks ago so this is new. It worked fine until then. We chunk our records at 50,000 because anything over that fails instantly. Now, we have had to break those down into 25,000 records which is scary because we are breaking up the data after the fact. Breaking it down lower than 50,000 is an issue for reprints and composition since our license is for 3 jobs at a time. We have print runs over 125,000 which would have us compose 5 or 6 files instead of 3.
  15. I want to know if anyone else has had trouble composing to FusionPro Producer with a data file over 200 MB? Until the last couple weeks, I've had no problem writing records of 50,000 with a file size of 200MB+. I reinstalled FusionPro on my MacBook Pro running 10.8.5 and FusionPro 9.0 and it still will not let me write 50,000 records. It gives me a "Cannot Submit Job" error from the server. Files slightly under 200 MB will work. I composed one that was 194 MB and had 44,655 records. It doesn't make sense that it would just stop working.
  16. I have created a new document and attached a data file to it. When I go to add a color to the colors palette in Advanced>>Colors, and add a color, nothing appears in the palette. If you use the arrow keys to scroll up and down, you can see there is a color in the palette but you cannot see a swatch or the color break down. I'm attaching a screen shot of how it appears.
  17. I haven't found anything on the user community related to layered images so I wanted to see if anyone had experience in or has tried to layer a Photoshop EPS and use it in a FusionPro layout and if it works. We use full body photos on a front cover and front inside cover of our magazine and we used to use Darwin for composing the VPS files. We use an EPS file on the cover that is on top of a background image and use a TIFF file on the front inside cover with a white background because the background is white. We do that because the EPS files on the front inside cover used to give everyone helmet hair in Darwin. If we can use layered EPS files with a mask, we can fix the helmet hair. Let me know if FusionPro can handle and compose these files correctly or if it will not work.
  18. The font is a true type font which is the only version USPS offers besides postscript.
  19. In our layout, the USPSIMBStandard font does not display correctly but does compose correctly. It displays the letters that make up the 65 character code but composes with the bars. Is there a way to get it to display correctly in the layouts? I have replaced the font, replaced it in the text resource, replaced it in Font Book and it doesn't change how it displays. I'm on FP 9.0 and Producer 9.0.
  20. Dan, The only issue I have had with replacing NullResource(); with the name of the Resource I used, Resource("MissingImage"), is that it will place that missing image if the field is empty. I just want it to place the Resource("MissingImage") if the file is missing from the server. I can't get an if/else statement to work for what I need.
  21. I just have a quick question about how FusionPro processes images when it composes on the server. I have an image that has a moiré pattern in it from the person's jacket pattern. It looks fine when printed directly from photoshop to the RIP on an iGen 4. When the PDF from FusionPro is viewed in Acrobat and printed, it has the pattern. Does FusionPro change the images to JPEG's or a different format than the file that is placed in the layout? I use TIFF files in the layout. I'm just trying to narrow down where the image is getting the pattern from.
  22. That is all that shows up. The first letter in the letter.
  23. Dan, The file saved as Unicode didn't work either. The whole letter disappears now and there is just a W where the letter should be.
  24. I tried uploading as a Zip file and also uploading as three separate files and nothing works.
