While previewing a pdf, I'm experiencing a lot of slowness as the pdf doc refreshes. This was not much of a problem with an earlier version of FP Desktop. Is there a way I can speed up record selection, moving frames, editing text etc. with preview checked? I'd appreciate any support on this issue. Dan Korn Posted November 23, 2009 Share Posted November 23, 2009 FusionPro 5.8 introduced support for Unicode composition. If you're not using Unicode in your job, you can go to the Advanced tab of the Composition Settings dialog and check the box "Limit processing to Latin-1/MacRoman text," then click "Save" and Cancel, and that should speed things up. I checked Composition Settings > Advanced, but the "Processing to Latin-1 text" box was already checked. After further examination of the slowness however, we determined it's probably caused by our inadequate server. When working locally things go at a comparatively frenetic pace. Thanks again.
