Horizontal Scale on Text Frame

Is there a way to apply a horizontal scale to all copy set within a variable text frame, regardless of how many variable fields are designated within that frame and regardless of static text set within that same frame?

 

For example, inside my text frame which is named "Contact Info", the following is set within the text frame:

 

Phone: «Phone»

Fax: «Fax»

Cell Phone: «Cell Phone»

Website: http://www.website.com

E-mail: «Email»

 

I need for ALL of the above text in that Text Frame to be horizontally scaled to 85%. Can anyone advise me on the best way to handle this? Thank you!

Amy, I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Do you actually want the text stretched out, or just Kerned?

Create a rule like this and insert it at the start of your text:

return '<magnify type=setwidth factor=85>';
