alisha
I'd like to use a variable field in the portal's custom banner. I know there's User.FirstName, User.LastName, etc. But is there a way I can pull the User Group or somehow assign a company name to the user and use it in the banner custom content? Thanks in advance.
FreightTrain
Alisha, There is no personalization field for a Group. However there are two options for personalization you might be able to try: 1) %%Company.Name%% 2) %%TPA.AttributeName%% - where the "AttributeName" would match that of the Text Profile Attribute (TPA). For the TPA one, every user must have a User Assignment. For more info on TPA's review the help, check the User Guide or contact your BRM.
alisha
%%TPA.AttributeName%% worked! Thanks so much!
johnw
Is there a trick to making the TPA variable work? I think I have my user assignments correct. The TPA is showing up in a versioned product and in My Profile, just not in my custom content. Thanks.
alisha
The first time I added it to custom content, I forgot to put "TPA." in front of the Attribute Name. Hope you get it figured out! %%TPA.AttributeName%%
johnw
I was trying to use the TPA variable on the shipping page but it wasn't showing up. Once I added the variable code to the Portal Banner Custom Copy area, the TPA showed up on the shipping page also. Weird, but I'm not going to complain, it's working.
