ThomasLewis
I'm putting together a new server that will be solely running FusionPro VDP Producer. It will have an I7 3770 CPU. I'm curious if having hyperthreading enabled will effect performance in any way. Also, is it necessary to install Acrobat or will remotely sending jobs to Producer work without it? Dan Korn
I'm putting together a new server that will be solely running FusionPro VDP Producer. It will have an I7 3770 CPU. I'm curious if having hyperthreading enabled will effect performance in any way. It shouldn't. FusionPro VDP Producer is basically single-threaded, so a single composition won't utilize more than one CPU core. However, if you're going to be running multiple concurrent compositions (Max Load greater than 1), then more CPUs will help, as will more RAM. Also, is it necessary to install Acrobat or will remotely sending jobs to Producer work without it? No, you don't need Acrobat to compose jobs with VDP Producer.
