Tony Olivas
Just got trial for Indesign 5.5 and wanted to test FusionPro. Do I have to re-install FusionPro to make it work? -Tony
FreightTrain
Tony, If v5.5 is brand new, FPD may not work with it yet. But the answer is yes, if you install a new version of InDesign, you need to re-install FPD.
david
Do we know yet if CS 5.5 is compatible? If not, what's the time frame for adding?
Lauren
FusionPro briefly supported InDesign CS5.5, however the update to CS 5.5.1 stopped the plugin from working. With this in mind, we will be releasing a new FusionPro 7.2 patch in the near future that will support InDesign CS5.5.1. It is currently being tested, so it should be released shortly. Gregster1234
Do you have to buy a new FusionPro Desktop to use the plugin for CS 5.5?
FreightTrain
Gregster, You do need FusionPro 7.2, so not knowing the version you own, I cannot answer it. If you own FPD 7.x 7.2 is a free upgrade. The plugin would also be updated after you do the uninstall/reinstall. You can actually find the 5.5 plug-in via the PTI website: http://www.pti.com/downloads/fusionpro/ Hope this helps
Gregster1234
We have 6.2. Thanks
David Miller
...You can actually find the 5.5 plug-in via the PTI website: http://www.pti.com/downloads/fusionpro/ The standalone, FusionPro InDesign CS5.5 Plug-in for Mac, available at the URL above, does not appear to work with InDesign 7.5.2. We get an error message stating that "Adobe InDesign does not recognize FuisonProCS5.5.InDesignPlugin..." Uninstalling FusionPro VDP and reinstalling the full Mac Version 7.2P1k worked. (Installs: FusionProCS5.5EX.InDesignPlugin v7.2.13 and FusionProCS5.5UI.InDesignPlugin v7.2.13)
