I am encountering an issue will performing a collection on a 64-bit system that does not occur on a 32-bit Windows Vista system. It's unlikely that it's a 64-bit issue, as Acrobat (and FusionPro) runs in the 32-bit subsystem, but it's possible it's related to the same UAC settings in Vista as referenced in the post linked above. The two machines may be set up with different UAC settings. Or it could be another issue altogether; it's hard to tell without more information.
