jackryanperfectprinting
I have a field in my csv file that is for full names. Some of the entries don't have a name and are blank. When I am making a rule in the rule wizard I say If Text value of "Field5"is empty then return Chief Nursing Officer Else return Field5. What is happening is I am not getting anything for the blanks. I am getting the correct name where there is one in the database. I had a programmer look at it and when he converted it to javascript he noticed the word empty was in between to quotes. When he deleted the word the rule worked. Can this work without having to convert to java and use the wizard?
Dan Korn
What version of FusionPro? There isn't an "is empty" comparison type built in. However, in FusionPro 7.1, you should be able to set the comparison type to "is not" and leave the next text box empty and it should do what you want. In older versions, you can use the "is less than" comparison and type a single exclamation point (!) in the next text box.
