Datamatrix 2d code
 

Hi,

FP 9.3.6 has problems creating a datamatrix code.
This is the error I get:
"Problemwithspawnedhelperapp"/Library/ApplicationSupport/PTI/FusionPro/Java/FPIDAutomation2DHelper"(systemreturned65024):***Ja vaerror:FusionProJavaUtilsclassnotfound
"
Any toughts?

We don't do very many jobs with 2d barcodes, but there is one we did about a year ago using VDP Creator 8.2. We are set to do this job again with updated art and data, so I just pulled it to test it under 9.3.6. When I try to compose the old job exactly as-is, I get the same error that you are getting.

Any ideas, PTI?

In searching for this issue, Dan Korn stated in this post:

that the issue was addressed. Yet I am running a newer version and the problem persists.

In his post he states if you need the update for production purposes before it is released to contact support.

I would try that.

I sent an email to support. I would think that the 9.3.6 that I have installed is newer than the 9.3.12 he stated in his message, and would contain the fix he talked about. I'll see what support says.

Not real sure on their version naming convention, but .12 may come after .6

Uh, yeah. .12 probably is newer than .6. You know what I'm thinking. .1.2. Sometimes my head is really thick.......

Support got back with me and gave me a link to the 9.3.12 beta. That fixed the problem.

Thanks for the info. We have an fp 9.1 version on one of our mac's, so wa can compose the job. I'll get in touch with support to know the release date on the new version.

Hi guys, I am having a heck of a time figuring this out. I am on a Imac vers. 10.9.5 running 9.3.36. I read above that beta 9.3.12 fixed the problem. But wouldn't 9.3.36 be a newer version? Anyway, I am told it is a Java error? Anybody have any thoughts?

I don't understand the "AND" in your post. How can you be getting the error message AND also be getting the correct tags as a result?

Do you mean that you're getting one result at rule validation time (when you click Validate in the Rule Editor) and another result at composition time (when you compose and view the log file)? Are you sure that the FusionPro plug-in to Acrobat and the FusionPro app are both version 9.3.36?

I apologize for any confusion. On 9.3.6 I get the javascript error.
On 9.3.36 I get the tags message. Thanks

So, as mentioned previously in this thread, the issue is fixed in 9.3.36. Correct?

It appears the Java error is fixed, but the tags error is not. Can I not preview the barcode?

Okay, I think I get what you're asking about now. Check the "Treat returned strings as tagged text" box in your rule.

Dan, thank you so much for your help. Rookie mistake, I was so caught up in the version change that I simply did not have the correct font selected. :o:o
