  1. My IT department wants to upgrade my MAC OS to Monterey, a bit behind still. Was wondering if my current versions of Acrobat and Fusion Pro will be compatible. Currently using Acrobat version 2023.006.20320 and Fusion Pro version 12.0.3. Thanks
  2. Without seeing the actual template, very hard to help. I will ask, did you update the rule for the FindTextFrame for boxes 2-20. So for box 2 the rule would update to be: FindTextFrame("Box2").fillColorName = colorName; etc.
  3. Dan, I tried your trick on Mac of doing the show fonts and selecting the font I need that way, but when I compose it says the font isn't loaded and using default instead.

  6. Yeah this has been a known issue. After opening I just drag the same file onto the imposer program in my dock and it will then open correctly. Discussed here. Looks like it is fixed in version 12.0.3 http://forums.printable.com/showthread.php?t=10512&highlight=Imposition
  7. So I have a multipage PDF and I want to compose each in a 6-up imposition and repeat that 5 time for each page consecutively. I don't have a data source. I am using a OnRecordStart rule of FusionPro.Composition.repeatRecordCount = 5; This does the repeating, but it does all pages and then repeats the whole set 4 more times. I am trying to get 1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,etc But I am getting 1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5. Is there a way to accomplish what I am trying.

  9. Looking at the properties of the two PDFs one from Fusion Pro 10 and one from Fusion Pro 12, they are both using Adobe PDF Library 15 and PDF version 1.5. So that doesn't seem to be the issue? I took screenshots of the document properties. The one from Fusion Pro 12 has (DEBUG) included in the Application?Fusion Pro 10.pdf Fusion Pro 12.pdf
  10. I feel like I did somewhat eliminate the 3rd party softwares being the issue. The composed PDF going straight into the 3rd party color management softwares loses the art during its processing but if that same composed PDF is placed in InDesign first and exported using Acrobat 8/9 (PDF 1.7) setting which look to be the highest compatibility option in InDesign the 3rd party software processes the file and nothing is lost. The only thing that has changed in the process is the version of Fusion Pro being used.
  11. So I have a template that worked great in Fusion Pro 10. I have upgraded to 12 and now I am having problems. After composing the job (which has a possible 185 JPEG images pulled in based on data) the PDF looks great. I will then run it through either of our color management systems Alwan or GMG and all images, text, and barcodes composed through Fusion Pro are gone, all that is left is the base art. This was not happening with Fusion Pro 10. Only started with Fusion Pro 12. So I tested further and placed my composed PDF into InDesign and exported with my normal settings. Then ran that through either of the color management systems and it looks great. Does Fusion Pro 12 have some sort of different output settings behind the scenes I can't change? I have tried with optimize (compress) PDF on the 2 different settings and also off and that changes nothing. I uploaded the template but it isn't collecting the images? I also uploaded the images for record 1. Anyone have any insight? 3178076_FP_CSV.zip Images.zip

  13. It is sooo annoying, every time I open an imposition I have to close it like three times and reopen to get it to open correctly and even then sometimes is incorrect. For ones I use over and over again but just want to change the slug, it is terrible.
  14. Does anyone know what the "Optimize (Compress) PDF" does in the output settings for a PDF/VT file? There is a Basic or Advanced option. I looked in the user guide and there was really no mention of this option. TIA Screen Shot 2021-02-25 at 11.44.34 AM.pdf
  15. I just upgraded to 12.0.1 and when I impose and have the "Page Info" checked the date is no longer a date but some weird characters?

  17. Is anyone else having problems with the new Imposer. I create a new layout, save it and use it and it works great. If I open it to edit it, it has reset to one up simplex 8.5 x 11???? I also don't like the new layout. Am I able to load a previous version that operates as expected? Seems like if I first open it and it is incorrect but then use the load function of that same file it will show correctly? Is this how others have to open it?
  18. You shouldn't use a rule if the data is numeric. Just place the field in a text box and apply the correct font.
  19. Correct, just a warning but somewhat annoying. Thanks for the update on a fix.
  20. Hmmm, I don't get that result, whenever the page info is check I get the warnings, Unicode warning with Limit processing unchecked and the Latin 1 warning if Limit processing is checked. So it seems that the page info checked is what is causing it, but I need to have that used on most of my jobs.
  21. I am getting an Error handling Unicode output on composition. This only happens when using the "Page Info" in the Imposition Tab of composition. If I uncheck that, I don't get the same warning. If I check the "limit processing to MacRoman text" the warning changes and tells me to check that box. Is there a way to fix this, it happens on all my templates made prior to upgrading to FP11 from FP10. I don't see any options to change in the imposition file either.
