Server error message Last night and today, is the server down?

Hello,

I've been trying to upload Form/Templates for variable products last night and this morning and am getting an error message. I've tried previous Templates that have uploaded successfully and am getting the same error message.

To someone unfamiliar with the language of server error messages and what they mean it's hard to tell if I am doing something wrong or the server is down. Ive spent an hour or so now trying to get these files uploaded for our client who has a deadline. Is there a place to check the status of the server or to find out what my error message is and not waste this time?

thank you, here is the message:

Server Error in '/ImageServer' Application.

Unable to serialize the session state. In 'StateServer' and 'SQLServer' mode, ASP.NET will serialize the session state objects, and as a result non-serializable objects or MarshalByRef objects are not permitted. The same restriction applies if similar serialization is done by the custom session state store in 'Custom' mode.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
