Is it possible to have tables within tables?

Our table markup tags in the FusionPro VDP suite do not support nested tables at this time.

 

However, there is a possibility to achieve essentially this capability but would be something we would need to research a bit further before confirming.

 

This would involve using repeatable components and tables. Essentially, you would have a table and in one of those cells, refer to a repeatable component. This repeatable component would contain a single text frame that itself would contain yet another table.

 

Repeatable components wouldn't grow/shrink in your main table cell though so this might not be an option for you if the text for your inner table is of a variable length.

 

Another option to consider, based on how complex your inner table is, is to use tabstops inside a table cell instead of the inner-table concept.
