jwhittaker
I need to have a cost center that the customer can type in and not have a dropdown menu. It will be only 3 or 4 characters long. I'm not sure exactly how the cost center is created. It looks like it's based on the name and location and a some number. I have tried adding a text field in the Printone display and then make that field part of the description. That is the only way I can figure it out right now. The customer wants to have it printout on a report in the cost center. Any ideas if this is possible? Thanks
Aislinn.FitzGerald
Hi, Can the user in the store create the cost centers? If so, you can use "search and modify" - this will then allow the user to create cost centers. However, these cost centers are then stored and can be used later. If that is a problem, I have seen users rename one of the address fields. If you use this option, be sure to test your credit card, tax and shipping calculations (these use the address fields). Also, don't change the city, state, or zip.
jwhittaker
Thank you Aislinn.FitzGerald. I appreciate your info. I'm talking with the cust about these options to see what they want to do. Thanks again! Jon
