mhilger
Hello everyone, The FusionPro VDP suite version 5.8P2c, including FusionPro Desktop, Direct, and Server, is now available for both Mac and Windows! FusionPro 5.8 is a complementary upgrade for all FusionPro Desktop 5.x customers. This is the first release of the 5.8 product for the Mac platform which brings Unicode variable text typesetting, black-only crop marks, and a number of additional features to the Mac platform. The Windows release of 5.8P2c includes 1 enhancement specifically for FusionPro Server and FusionPro Direct customers. If you are not a Server or Direct customer, there is no need to update to 5.8P2c for Windows. Note: At this time, Printable is testing FusionPro Desktop 5.8 Mac templates within FusionPro Web and they are therefore not officially supported in the FusionPro Web product. Please stay tuned for updates on when FusionPro Desktop 5.8 for Mac templates are supported in FusionPro Web. FusionPro Desktop 5.8 for Windows templates are supported in FusionPro Web presently. FusionPro software can be downloaded from the FusionPro VDP software download page. Details on the 5.8 release can be found in both the FusionPro 5.8 release notes as well as the FusionPro VDP Software Version History page. Please refer to the FusionPro VDP Software Installation instructions prior to installing the software. As always, thank you for your continued support! mhilger
Hello, The 5.8 release for Mac includes Unicode typesetting support, black-only crop marks, and a number of smaller enhancements which matches the features in the current 5.8 Windows release. InDesign CS4 and Acrobat 9 support are coming (VERY soon - I promise) in the FusionPro 6.0 release.
