akappycanfieldtack.com
I found no way to place a signature (inline) with transparency over a flat tint background. So I filled that background of the signature in photoshop to the same values as the background in the PDF file. When I compose, the values in the background of the placed signature are changing. Entered 5 c, 5 m, 14 y, 0 k. Getting out 4.81 c, 5.16 m, 11.54 y, 0 k. I can find no transformation setting. How do I maintain my CMYK values? DCurry
This doesn't directly address the color change issue, but rather the signature itself - did you try making it a 1-bit image and save as TIFF? Then there should be no need for transparency.
esmith
Given the non-integer values on the back end, it looks like your output file is converting to RGB. Can you confirm that your template and your resources are all CMYK prior to composition?
akappycanfieldtack.com
Yes, I've tried 1-bit tiff (and EPS and PDF) and it always comes in with a white block, whether I do it inline or in a graphic box. I've double checked and there is no RGB involved. It appears to be doing a CMYK-CMYK transform.
akappycanfieldtack.com
Found the problem, and it is an Acrobat/Pitstop problem, not FusionPro at all. I had to turn off Pitstop's Color Management. That did it. Andy
