i'm having trouble Acrobat 9 Pro is crashing when I try to 'Import a Data File'

Installed Fusion Pro v7.1P1c on a Mac last month. It was a 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo. 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. OS 10.4.11. I was using Acrobat 9 Pro & all was well.

 

This week I am in the process of upgrading to a new computer. 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7. 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. OS 10.6.6.

 

First I deactiviated the software from the original Mac. Then I installed the same Fusion Pro software mentiioned above and now when I try to Import a new data file in to an existing document, Acrobat crashes every time. When i click the button that would usually allow me to browse and select a new data file, that is as far as I get.

 

Anybody else have this issue or have any suggestions on how to try to avoid/overcome the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
