Jordanh
I am using a Postnet Barcode (zip+4+delivery point) for all my mailing peices. I was wondering if the barcode has to stay a certain physical size on the peice. I have seen different mail peices come in the mail and the bar codes are different sizes. Does a different size make it cost more? Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

Steve Blatman
The USPS specifies the permissible size of the barcode in bars per inch. I don't have either the spec (which is on usps.com) or FP (so I can test barcode sizes) handy at the moment, but you need to specify a point size for the barcode that gives a result with the bars per inch in the permissible range. Sorry for not being more specific.... hope this helps.
Alleykatden
I've been working with FP for a while now for a direct mail company and I always set my barcode to be 12 pt and have never had one fail and the post office.
Gregster1234
That is exactly the size that we use is 12 pt. and it works perfect. We tried 10 pt. and it failed at the post office. -Greg-
