  1. Thanks for the tip. I was having this issue about 6 months ago before I updated to 9.2, then the problem seemed to be solved. Now just recently it started doing the same thing with 9.2.
  2. Here's the collected files. There should be about 10 .jpg images in there. Thanks! 24075 Turning-65 Postcard_FP.zip
  3. The "Down Sample" option is unchecked and the "Preserve Annotations" is checked. I am using sample data for the job at this point and there are only 75 records and only about 10 of the records have the variable images in them. I can see how it would take a while for them to render with a large data file, but this one is relatively small and I don't open the PDF until it has processed as complete. The thing is, sometimes the file will compose with the images coming out as lo-res and sometimes it will compose with hi-res and I haven't changed any settings. I have had this issue with other files as well. I could compose the file as VPS instead of PDF, which I will probably do when we go to print the job, but for proofing purposes, I am composing PDFs. Our customer isn't going to want to see their PDF proofs with lo-res bitmapped images.
  4. I am having an issue with variable images composing as lo-res. I have the job set up using the Insert Picture rule with the path to the folder containing the .jpg images. Sometimes when I go to compose the file, the images come out as lo-res in the PDF. The only work around I have come up with is to quit out of Acrobat and FusionPro, restart them and re-compose the file using a different file name and saving to a different folder, but that doesn't always work either. I am using Mac OS 10.8.5, FusionPro 9.2.31 and Acrobat 10.1.7. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave
  5. Hi All, I am wanting to know how to go about suppressing a graphic frame if that frame is empty. Some of the records in the data have a logo that feeds into the frame and some do not. I have a text box with a return address that I am using text wrapping to wrap around the graphic, but when there is no graphic for a particular record, I want the text box to slide over to where the logo would be. It seems to me that if I would be able to suppress the Graphic frame when there is no logo to feed in, the text box would slide over into position. Make sense? Any suggestions? Thanks! Dave
  6. I am having an issue where sometimes variable graphics are not showing up when clicking the template preview, but if I compose a PDF, they do. Is there something I am doing wrong?
  7. Is there a maximum number of characters that are allowed in a Graphic Resource filename, whether it be a JPG or a PDF or whatever? It seems to me that there is, I'm wanting to know what the magic number is. Thanks
  8. Okay. I wasn't putting down the FusionPro software at all. I was just simply asking if the advanced webinar training would be a benefit. I'm sure it would be useful, I just have to justify spending the money on training to my boss. I am looking into getting some Java training as well. Thanks!
  9. Okay, thanks. It appears that the only way to do anything with this program beyond pretty basic tasks is by using Javascript, which I have no experience with. Would it be to my benefit to take the advanced webinar training for FusionPro Creator? We purchased this software hoping to use it as a replacement for the out of date Darwin software that we have been using for several years. We have several weekly and monthly jobs that we were planning to switch over to FusionPro.
  10. My company just purchased FusionPro Creator a couple of months back and we have a weekly job that we have been using Darwin VDP software to produce for the past few years. My question is this: Is it possible to create a multiple page VDP template in FusionPro, where a page will or will not be produced based on the data file? These packets have around 30 different pages that may or may not print, depending on the data file. I see that FusionPro has layer functionality, which is great, but that isn't really practical for this particular job. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
