jbodine
Every time I try to preview my variable data I get an error in Acrobat: The other application is not running. Could not launch the FusionPro program. Reinstalling the software may correct this problem. I have tried everything. Alex at support thinks it is a permission issue. I reinstalled acrobat and FusionPro. It worked for a few days last week and has resurfaced again. Anyone else having this problem?
Dan Korn
What happens if you manually start FusionPro.app (from /Applications/PTI/FusionPro/) first, and then try to Preview? Also, what exact versions of FusionPro, Acrobat, and Mac OS are you running?
jbodine
I have tried that and I get the same error. I am running Mac OSX 10.9.5, I have tried Acrobat 9.5.5 and version 11. I created a new user and it worked. I don't know if this a permission issue. I tried to boot in safe mode and my mac just will not do it. I'm going to try and reload my system tonight. Do you have any other ideas?
jbodine
here are a few samples form my console logs: ProdActivate[2614]: OTInetGetInterfaceInfo is unimplemented and will be removed soon. Please stop using it. FNPLicensingService[2615]: Started - This service performs licensing functions on behalf of FLEXnet enabled products. Maybe a activation/registration issue? Dan Korn
I am running Mac OSX 10.9.5, I have tried Acrobat 9.5.5 and version 11. Great. But you still haven't said what version of FusionPro you're running. That's the single most important piece of information here, especially since you say you're running Mac OS X 10.9 "Mavericks," which is supported only by the most recent 9.2 and 9.3 releases of FusionPro. here are a few samples form my console logs: ProdActivate[2614]: OTInetGetInterfaceInfo is unimplemented and will be removed soon. Please stop using it. That's just a warning message about the old Open Transport API that ProdActivate is using for TCP communication. But this is a big clue about what version of FusionPro you're running. It means you're using an older version of FusionPro, specifically 9.1 or earlier, which is not supported on Mavericks (OS X 10.9). You need to upgrade to FusionPro 9.2 or 9.3 for Mavericks support. (Or it could mean that you have parts of different versions of FusionPro installed on your system.) FNPLicensingService[2615]: Started - This service performs licensing functions on behalf of FLEXnet enabled products. That has nothing to do with FusionPro or any other PTI product. Maybe a activation/registration issue? No. If you're really running Mavericks (OS X 10.9), then you need to upgrade to FusionPro 9.2 or 9.3. If you had noted the version of the software and your OS in your original post, I could have told you that sooner.
jbodine
I am running FusionPro 9.3.
Dan Korn
I am running FusionPro 9.3.6 Okay, thanks. Then it seems you have some parts of an older version on the machine as well. As my signature notes, it's almost impossible to diagnose issues like this in the context of this user forum. But you can try searching for "FusionPro" at the top level folder in the Finder.
