Multiple Color QR Code

Thanks for the quick response.

Attached is a scan of 3 QR codes with multiple colors. Next to it is a sample out of Fusion Pro in all black. They all scan the same. It looks like there is a logo in the center of the multi colored one as well. Is this possible to do in Fusion Pro??

You can set the entire barcode in any color you want, if it's a text barcode, but it's not possible to have multiple colors within the same barcode. I suppose you could "crack" the string returned by the MakeQRBarcode function to identify which glyphs make up the corner blocks, and set those in a different color with some JavaScript logic, but that's not something I would tackle myself.

As for a picture in the middle of the barcode, as I've said previously on this forum, all you need to do is place another graphic frame on top of the barcode and put a picture in it. If the graphic is small enough, and the error correction level is high enough, the barcode should still scan despite the missing information.

Did you figure out how to create this yet?

Can't believe I spent all that time making those codes come out right and a week afterwards I see it posted here! ;)

I wasn't able to do it in Fusion Pro as is. Our IS department thinks they may be able to do it through FP with some reprogramming, but haven't heard anything further.

Were you able to do it through Fusion Pro?

How is the new job going?

Based on the sample provided, the logo and the position blocks are all that you want to be a different color. Since those are constant (in the context of this project), all you have to do is create one QR code in FP, then use its output as a template for setting up the static, colored overlay which sits atop the QR code variable frame for final output.

I whipped together a sample job that does just that. All three resulting codes scanned correctly for me with an Android app. :)

That was going to be my next attempt since the elements that are the different color are in a static position. My IS department was looking into a different way to do it through the building blocks file. I haven't heard any more about it, but it sounded like they were looking and doing even more to customize it.

Thanks for the replies, appreciate it!!
