Christian Johnson Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I have a complex file that uses 2 additional external data files to populate information on a gift list order form. Each record has unique data based a "buyer customer number" and each buyer has "ship to" recipients and "items" that go to each recipient. The total data determines how many pages of gift lists the buyer will get. i.e. 1-30 pages per buyer. When I compose my file, when I get to the higher numbered pages, I get some data loss. My items data does not populate on my template. My fix right now is to isolate each record that failed to populate in my original composition, create 3 individual data files and compose separate so FusionPro doesn't have to sift through all the data. When I do this, my data appears fine. I've collected my FusionPro file and is attached for reference. Records 14,98, and 107 have the data loss. The page counts for these come to 27,28, and 29 pages. Whats causing my data loss when trying to compose all records at once? J032904_ERB.zip Quote
Dan Korn Posted September 23 Posted September 23 There's a lot going on in this job. I'm not sure why you're duplicating all those pages instead of using Overflow pages, possibly with a Repeatable Component. I think you could also repeat the record to accomplish this. At any rate, it's not clear to me what data is missing. Can you be more specific? Exactly what output are you expecting, and precisely how is it different from the output you're getting? Quote
Christian Johnson Posted September 30 Author Posted September 30 Apologies. When trying to preview records 14,98, and 107, I get an Apple Event time out error. I went ahead and composed the whole file using FusionPro Producer. The 3 records mentioned have data loss as in the "Item" data does not appear at output. See screenshot attached. I outlined were each external list is suppose to populate data. I've also attached two PDFs of record 14, one showing the missing data (original composition) and the other showing what is supposed to populate (isolating the record so its by itself). *The data is unique for each record (buyer, shipto, and item). It could be coincidence that they're all the same. J032904_ERB-Record 14_Bad.pdf J032904_ERB-Record 14_Fix.pdf Quote
