  1. This fix is to address a recently discovered issue with Adobe Acrobat plug-in startup issues on both Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows platforms. ************If the plugin does not appear in Acrobat for Acrobat DC 2023, check the following settings on your Apple Macintosh device here**************************** On Macintosh, the FusionPro Acrobat plug-in is not yet native M1 and has to run under the Rosetta emulation mode. This is found under Acrobat>>> Preferences->General. The setting is "Enable Native OS Mode for optimal performance." This setting should be turned off and Acrobat restarted for the FusionPro plug-in to appear. Also uncheck “Use certified plug-ins” (More details can be found at: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/apple-silicon-m1-processor-support.html) If the plugin does not appear in Acrobat for Acrobat DC 2023, check the following settings on your Microsoft Windows PC device select "Edit>>>Preferences>>General>> Uncheck “Enable Protected Mode At Startup. Uncheck “Use certified plug-ins”
  2. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Make sure to check the box for "Treat Return Strings As Tagged Text" if(Field("Program2") == "") { return "" } else { return '<br>' + Field("Program2abbr") + '&nbsp;' + "Student Sponsorship of Up to" + '&nbsp;' + Field("val")+ '<br>'; }
  3. Try specifying the Stack value (Divide total records by n-ups), then UNCHECK Infinite Stack. Recompose and test.
  4. @mailstarinc In Acrobat select FusionPro>>Advanced>>Preferences. Check the box for "Embed Fonts For Preview". Also, Have you tried cleaning your font cache on your Mac device? This will help to isolate corrupt font information from your system, and allow your working fonts to load correctly.
  5. Hello Please send your request for the InDesign plugin to fusionprosupport@marcom.com
  6. Hello, you will need FusionPro VDP version 13 for Acrobat DC 2023 support. Contact fusionprosupport@marcom.com for license upgrade information.
  7. One way you could do this is by adding two new fields to your data file (in this example we’ll call them simply “Font” and “Color”). When this is uploaded to the manager you will configure these as dropdowns that the client can choose from. From here you either hard code the fonts/colors you want into the template itself – or – if you want to add more colors/etc in the future, you can put these in an XDF (external data file) and write a rule that calls on those columns. The XDF method gives you the most flexibility, but In the interest of time, I’m just going to explain the first option. After you’ve created the new Font and Color fields, you can write a rule that will look something like the following: //This rule applies your font choice to your RTE field (for this example, it’s just called paragraph) var mycolor = Field("Color"); var myfont = Field(“Font”); if (Field(Paragraph) != “”) { return '<f name="'+myfont+'">' + '<color name = "'+mycolor+'">' + Field(Paragraph); } else { return “”; } Note: your fonts names and color names in the data file (and in the dropdowns in marcom) must EXACTLY match the name of the colors and fonts as found in the template. Try this and let us know if it works for you.
  8. Try the following script: XV = ReplaceSubstring(Field("Full Name"), "," , "," +'&nbsp;') return XV; This script replaces it with a space after the comma.
  9. if(Field("First Name")!="") return Field("First Name") + '&nbsp;' + "," else return "";
  10. Hello, To my knowledge FusionPro does not have the ability to show the template PDF bleed in the Preview mode. It will display the amount of bleed detected in the file, via the FusionPro Composition Settings Menu, "Imposition" tab where you can see the "Bleed Box" value. You can also view the bleed box in Acrobat. Go to: Print Production > Set Page Boxes. This dialog will show art, trim and bleed boxes checkbox.
  11. @Alberto check your email from fusionprosupport@marcom.com for the solution
  12. Hello, You can invoke the following operation to ensure your fonts get installed. PC(Windows 10) Select Start>> PTI>>FusionPro Configuration>>Load Fonts Apple Macintosh Click the orange “F” in your Dock. Select from the toolbar “Server>>Load Fonts” Once this process completes, restart your computer and reopen your variable job to view the font information. If the specified fonts do not load to FusionPro, check the FusionPro Font Error log, i.e. “Fonts.err” located: PC C:\ Users \ Public \ Public Documents \ PTI \ FusionPro Apple Macintosh Mac HD / Library / Preferences / PTI / FusionPro / Open the Fonts.err file with your Text Editor or Notepad and query the font name(s) to view the error associated with the fonts needed. You can also utilize third party font software to isolate corrupt fonts on the Apple Macintosh OS. Hope this helps.
  13. So add all pages as a single PDF, i.e. fronts and back with their variable frame layouts and specified field names within. Then name each page(Fusionpro>>Manage Pages>>Page Usage Set the pages to “Unused”. Instead of naming the pages, giving them unique names for the fronts Then create the rule, (Create Rules>>New>>>Callback>>OnRecordStart). We will use the field values as in this sample code. The rule below can be simplified greatly by only activating the page you need, since all the pages are marked unused initially. So it can be reduced like this example: if (Field("Design") == "Basic") FusionPro.Composition.SetBodyPageUsage("Basic Page 1", true); if (Field("Design") == "Featured") FusionPro.Composition.SetBodyPageUsage("Featured Page 2", true);
  14. If the plugin does not appear in Acrobat for Acrobat DC 2022, check the following settings on your Microsoft Windows PC device here Select "Edit>>Preferences>>Security Enhanced Uncheck “Enable Protected Mode At Startup. Uncheck “Use certified plug-ins”
  15. Is the template PDF alreay 4-up? If so, you would have to start out with a one-up postcard and use the FusionPro Imposer tool to define the 4-up layout..
