  1. I keep getting this error with a fresh install of FP on a new iMac

All of our client files are on a NAS and never had an issue before I migrated to a new 27" iMac.

    Job started 08:45:04 - 1366893904.

    Creator: FusionPro VDP Creator 8.2.7

    Computer Name: Graphics iMac

    Current working folder: /

    Template File: /Volumes/Job Files/Archive/C items/Cincinnati Natural Foods [CNF]/56850-CNF May 13/vdp/CNF VDP SETUP.dif

    Input File: /Volumes/Job Files/Archive/C items/Cincinnati Natural Foods [CNF]/56850-CNF May 13/vdp/CNF MAY IM.txt

    Job Config File: /Volumes/Job Files/Archive/C items/Cincinnati Natural Foods [CNF]/56850-CNF May 13/vdp/CNF May IM.cfg

Composing record #1, input record 1

Font <Arial> is not a loaded font. Using default instead.

Graphic file ./cnf vdp setup.pdf missing

Composing record #5, input record 5

Graphic file ./cnf vdp setup.pdf missing

    and so on...

    BUT

if I drag the files to my desktop and compose (also saving the output to the desktop) then it works?!

  2. I want it to read like this for example:

    <<First Name>>, You Could Win $1000!

    or just

    You Could Win $1000!

The problem is the comma. Some of the First Name fields are unpopulated and in that case, the comma is not needed. How do I write a rule to add the comma if there is data in the First Name field, but not add it if the field is empty?

I've tried searching for code and learning something on my own and instead I've spent too much time trying to wing it. Project is due!

    Thanks for any help.

  3. First of all thanks for the update and 10.8 support. happy to not have to dual boot - saves lots of time.

One thing I'm noticing is PPML exports fail at our Fiery RIP when I submit the .zip file (our printer is a Ricoh C751). The log just says RIP Error.

PDF exports of the same file, however, RIP just fine.

  4. So, we finally got 10.7 Lion support and now 10.8 is out. I just installed Mtn Lion on a second partition... because we have to play right?! :D

Planning to test FP and other apps before moving to it, but thought I'd ask the official position/status of FP 8.

  5. I have a newsletter that I export from IDCS5.5. It's setup in spreads, has bleeds and crops and exports correctly.

When I do my variable setup I create block for a mailing address. No matter what format I compose to the bleeds and crops are being lost. It's like FP is seeing the crop marks and cropping the document.

If I export to PDF I can use the Acrobat crop tool to expand the document size to 12x18. However in a newsletter with (4) 11x17 pages that does not allow me to impose a booklet in the correct way with my RIP (pages are all out of order).

If I export to PPML or PS it loses the bleed/crop information and I have no way to edit the document size.

export to VPS is a whole 'nother issue - It produces a PDF with x amount of pages of the SAME PAGE.

export to VIPP just plain fails on my RIP.

I blame gremlins personally, but I also think there's a problem with FP ;)
