marcusm
Hi. We have a guy who assist us with javacript rules in templates in FusionPro. We put his template (.js textfile) in the FusionPro/Plug-ins/ folder to make the rules he has written available for us. The problem is when we upload this to DSF (FusionPro Server) the rules won't update and seems missing, are there anything you must put on the FusionPro server (the .js file) or is that file included in the ZIP-file your collecting in FusionPro Desktop. Do I have to do something in the template to make the js-template active?
Dan Korn
I would copy the functions from the .js file into the JavaScript Globals for each job using them. Otherwise, you'll need to make sure the exact same .js file is present on the machine running FusionPro Server as on your FP Desktop machine. marcusm
Hi again, Okay,my follow up questions is maybe a bit painful for advanced users but how do I place the functions in the javascript globals so I don't have to put the .js file on the FusionPro server? esmith
I believe that's as easy as copying all the code in your external .js file and pasting it into the Globals window which can be accessed by clicking on the button in the lower, left corner of the dialog that shows all your template rules. marcusm
Aha, too east maybe, I'll try it and will return if the result will end up good or bad. Thank you for the info.
marcusm
We ended up pasting Javascript Global rules into each template to solve the problem.
