Copying and Pasting Variable Fields from one PDF to another

I'm trying to remember how to copy and paste variables fields from one PDF to another in Fusion Pro Desktop. They use the exact same variable fields, exact same position.

I know this is a fairly simple to do.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

First things first, your data source must also include the fields exactly as they appear in the original document/template. It sounds as if you want he variable frames imported into the other document. If so, follow the steps below:

1) In the new document, go to FusionPro > Advanced > Import

2) Navigate to the original template and select

3) Select Variable Layout (or anything else you want imported)

4) Click OK

If you just want to copy the fields from one to the other use the standard copy/paste functionality:

Copy = Ctrl + C (PC) or Command + C (Mac)

Paste = Ctrl + V (PC) or Command + V (Mac)

Hope this helps

Do you mean variable text and graphic frames, or do you mean the actual data fields from the data file? If you mean frames, you can literally just copy and paste them, with Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V (Command-C and Command-V on Mac). If you mean the data, you can open the Define Data Source Wizard and select "Import a data source from another document."
