MartyrSyx Posted December 23, 2008 Share Posted December 23, 2008 When we compare the speed of output from FP Direct PostScript versus VDX, we see a huge difference. PS output more than twice as fast on one job, almost Ten times faster on another. Also, on large (number of records) jobs with some complex variable, we receive error code 1001 for most VDX outputs. We rerun them as PS and no problem at all. The VDX output will run until some point and then error out. From the manual it says 1001 is a memory problem though we didn't used to have this problem. We only began receiving this error for VDX files in the 5.8 release of which tells us FP Direct is not doing something it used to do. Anyone having similar problems with FP Direct?
