Default Limiting the number of responses per record to one

Hello,
I'm putting together my first PURL campaign and was wondering if there is any way to limit the number of responses to 1 per record. I can't have the same person submit multiple responses. The campaign is a gift give-away where visitors choose a free gift. Obviously, once a visitor makes a gift selection and submits it, we don't want them coming back and selecting another gift. Essentially, once they've submitted a gift selection we want to disable their PURL from being able to submit again. If the system doesn't have any built-in feature to do this, is there any way to access a previously submitted form field and deny based on that?

Did you ever get an answer to this? We've got a similar project in the pipeline.

We did confirm that this was not doable. The temporary work-around was to use cookies to track previous visitors with the ultimate solution being to switch to a more robust system (Mindfire). Good luck!!!
