Default "Email Response to Visitor" not working?

Hello,

I'm not having any luck using the "Email Response to Visitor" option. I've tried it on numerous campaigns, never with success. Are there any specific formatting or key words or something I need to be using? Here's how I have it set presently:

Email Reply: Enabled
Visitor Address Source: Microsite Field
Send Email Upon: Completion of "main.html" Page
Send Copies To: [blank]

This site is a generic site that multiple people would access via a generic URL, so there's no email list field to reference for the Visitor Address Source. When I choose "Microsite Field" as the Visitor Address Source, there's no option or anything to specify the field. How does it know which field to use?

Stack,

For this to work the name and ID of the email field must be "VisitorEmail". That is how the system knows what field to use. Please try that and hopefully that will do it. If not, email the portal and campaign name to linkssupport@pti.com and we will look into it further.

Hi Jeff,

I made those changes but it still didn't work. I tried two different email address from two different domains (gmail.com and comcast.net), and even checked the spam folders for each, but no luck. I'll go ahead and send an email...

Marcus, I ended up just skipping this feature all together. After communicating with Jeff via email, I learned that the email sent doesn't include form fields the visitor filled in, so there was no point in us using it. Sorry I couldn't help

Well just to wrap up this thread:

It has to be named VisitorEmail in the microsite, it has to be name="VisitorEmail". So just as an example my code line looks like
Code:
<p><input name="VisitorEmail" type="text" class="text" value="<[Email]>" size="50" tabindex="3" /></p>

and just to confirm what stack said - the information that they just entered can't be used in the e-mail at this point - response from support:

The short answer is that it isn't used. The updated data is of course captured in the response section, but the email only pulls from the data that was originally uploaded.
