Hi,

I have a template which I use to create my output files.

The images and texts are layered which use different pdf input source and they are aligned properly so that they is no overlap.

When I create the pdf output, I see all the text on output files.

but when I create postscript output using the same template, 2 word message which we use on input pdf for our internal purpose is missing.

Any ideas? I tried altering the layers, but that didn't help

Any advise, comment, suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This is wierd. I went and checked all my previous postscript files which had this same text and they all printed fine.

When I run those ps files through distiller, even they give the same error. So I think I cannot consider this as an error for this issue.

My input files change as we change the subject over the time, and I am having this proble for the new set of pdf input files.

Yes. I ran the ps file through distiller and I get the below error

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: XGF ]%%

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Are you sure you're composing to the PostScript output format, and not to VIPP?

I am composing VIPP format, but my output files will be .ps

Okay, this is a very important piece of data. Contrary to the title of this thread, you're not actually creating generic PostScript output. VIPP files are not regular PostScript files, and cannot be handled by Distiller, nor printed with standard PostScript RIPs. They are meant for consumption by Xerox FreeFlow devices.

So, going back to your original post, when you say, "2 word message which we use on input pdf for our internal purpose is missing," exactly how are you viewing the VIPP output to determine this?
