Default Chip Processor

Long story short.....

Bought our current PC workstation from a private computer store nearby. spec'd it out with the i7 975 @ 3.33ghz chip. Came with that and have a sceen shot that shows that. Store had to take the computer about 6 months later for "routine" maintenance, whatever. Now the damn chip says:
920 @ 2.67ghz.
Manager is trying to state that he's not sure how this could happen and doesn't really see how it's their issue, wow....

Is there a way to see a LOG history on the machine if I could pinpoint way back as to if there was indeed a different processor in the beginning? Besides our screen shot and the spec build that should be enough, just curious as if there was anything else that would show?

Thanks!

Default Re: Chip Processor

Doubtful there is any way to "prove" that the other chip was installed before. I should think the original invoice would be sufficient to prove that what you have is not what you paid for.
