Top is not a function it is a parameter. Try this:
text.Rows[0].Cells[0].SetBorders("Thin", "Red", "Top");
text.Rows[0].Cells[0].SetBorders("Thin", "Green", "Bottom");...

Using the VStraddle causes the cell contents to duplicate down a cell.
