1. Hi team, I'm working on a variable data piece using VDP Designer 13.0.4 on Mac. While tweaking my document, FusionPro threw an Error no 1207, preventing me from previewing the document or being able to do any composition. In the past, when errors like this would pop, closing out Acrobat and FusionPro and restarting them would clear it, but I'm having no luck suddenly, even after restarting my computer. Any assistance that might help me identify the cause of this error, and more importantly, a solution, would be greatly appreciated!
2. Hi there, I actually did a little more testing and realized the issue is not actually related to the superscript, but the text editor window itself. When I go into the editor, the font size displays 7pt, when it should be 6.5pt. I can change it to 6.5pt and save, but if I go back into the editor, it changes to 7pt again. Is there an issue with non-whole point sizes in the Mac version of FusionPro? Thanks, LK
3. Hi there, Using FusionPro VDP Designer on Mac (11.0.9), I'm running into an issue where, if I change the superscript ratio from the default (in this case I am changing it to 58%), all of the text in my text box enlarges (though the font size remains the same). I've uploaded two screenshots showing before the superscript change, and after. Note the positioning of the text in relation to the horizontal guides. Both are set to 7pt, but the one with the superscript ratio changed appears larger. I had a colleague test this on their PC version of FusionPro, with the same file, and they did not encounter the same issue. Is this a Mac bug? Please advise, thank you! LK EDIT: Apologies, the title should say "ratio", not "ration".
4. Thanks for the response. In case anyone else is having this same issue, we were able to work around it by editing the leading settings in the dif file for each document we composed on the newer version. FP 9.3.36 was outputting: <docsettings leadingmode = "9.3" autoleadingpercent = "120" /> Which we changed to: <docsettings uselegacyleading = "false" autoleadingpercent = "120" /> To make it compatible with our server running 9.3.9. I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but it worked for us!
5. As a quick follow-up... out of curiosity, I removed the space in the field value, and while the copyfit did occur, it is still breaking to two lines, even though it could copyfit to a lower point size. The javascript validates to the below: <f name="Helvetica Neue"><z newsize=9.5><z newsize=7.800000000000006>EdwardHanrahanhfewfwerewr However, I have in my rule to allow it to copyfit down to 6.5pt. I can't figure out why it stops at 7.8pt and continues to want to break. As an aside, I have the same rule being applied to another field (email address) in the same text box, and the email address version works flawlessly. Is it possible the two rules are conflicting with one another? Thanks.
6. Hi all, As the title indicates, I'm wondering if it's possible to modify the CopyfitLine code in such a way that the line will not break to multiple lines before trying to copyfit. I currently have the javascript below: return CopyfitLine("", Field("contactName"), "Helvetica Neue", 9.5, 105.35, 7, false); However, because I have plenty of room in my text box for the line to break, and because there's a space in the field value ("Firstname Lastname"), it's breaking at the space before it attempts to copyfit. I have "Do Not Break On Copyfit" selected in my text box, but I am guessing that only works on the normal OnCopyfit rule, and not on CopyfitLine. Is there a javascript function (or other solution) I can use to ensure the line does not break at the space? I should mention, using a non-breaking space isn't a great solution for us, as more often than not, FusionPro will spit out boxes with Xs in them in composition whenever a non-breaking space is used (but that's a different issue altogether). Any help is appreciated!
7. Hi there, I'm currently running a newer version of FusionPro (9.3.36) than our server (9.3.9), and to ensure the leading matches between my desktop and the server, I have to go to: Edit Text > Paragraph > Global Settings > Leading ...and change the mode from FusionPro 9.3 to Legacy, for every document. My question is, is there a way to do this as a universal FusionPro setting, such that I don't have to change it on every document I process? Thank you! -LK
