aaronsupremeworks.com
is there a way to modify the sequential numbering rule to make it skip 3 numbers??? 2,5,8,11, etc. I have a gift Cert that they want 3 up on an 8.5x11 numberd sequentially down the page. I want to run them on a 12x18 but I cant get the numbering to come out the way we want.. thanks
rpaterick
I'm not sure how to do this in FP with sequential numbering rule but in excel you can achieve this. highlight numbers, click on the lower-right "node," hold and drag to your ending number. DSweet
Ryan, You could also use a formula such as (3n-1) where "n" is the current record number. Try one like... return (3 * CurrentRecordNumber()) - 1; Good Luck.
aaronsupremeworks.com
That doesnt quite work the way I need it to.. I have to have 3 leading zeros. I've got something like LeadingZero="000"; return FormatNumber(LeadingZero, 3 * CurrentRecordNumber()) - 1; But I dont get the zero's, this rule will work for the second position on the ticket but not the third I modified it a bit to use it in the 3rd position like so LeadingZero="000"; return FormatNumber(LeadingZero, 3 * CurrentRecordNumber()) ; and as a result got 003, 006, 009 ect.... but how to make this work for ticket 1 ( ie. 1,4,7,10.....) thanks Aaron
esmith
but how to make this work for ticket 1 ( ie. 1,4,7,10.....) How about: LeadingZero="000"; return FormatNumber(LeadingZero, 3 * CurrentRecordNumber() - 2); And if the code for the (2, 5, 8, ...) is right in your post, you aren't getting the formatting because you need to put the "-1" inside the right-most bracket.
