DCurry
I hope someone can help me. I am a FP newbie without any real training (we have version 3.2) and my customer is breathing down my neck to make this happen. How to I create a rule that will do the following: I have 2 fields in my source file - one is Salutation, the other is OptionalName. I need to make a rule that will substitute the data from OptionalName only if the Salutation field reads "Friend of Company A". For any other Salutation value, it needs to simply use the data from the Salutation field. I apologize if this has been asked and answered - I looked and couldn't find anything similar. All help is appreciated!
Brian F.
Try this: if (Field("Salutation")=="Friend of Company A") return Field("OptionalName"); else return Field("Salutation");
DCurry
Awesome - I'm not at work right now to try it out, but I'll give it a go first thing in the morning and post my results. Thanks!
